The email of appreciation from Westminster Synagogue was highlighted by the chairman on behalf of the police.

The NHW sign issue was highlighted with the likelihood of new NHW signage being trialed hopefully within our and other local SNT areas.

Law and order reports

The map displayed shows the main issues.

Thefts from motor vehicles were the obvious problem from the stats. The map showed thefts around the area of the Royal Albert Hall and the Eaton’s. There were no specific times or days in the south and could be anywhere in a 24 hr cycle.

Burglary was also mentioned with a view to increasing the resident’s awareness’ of using a five lever mortice lock rather than a Yale.

Fraud was also mentioned in respect of courier and bank fraud.

Ladies handbags and mobile phones in the Brompton Road from the cafés and bars are still the biggest problem.

PK mentioned the work around Hyde park Corner and the homeless there. There was still a problem with the homeless but operations involving the WCC, immigration and the homeless unit along with BTP support had been carried out before Xmas.PL confirmed the tunnels/underpasses belong to TFL and WCC have cleaning responsibility.

PK mentioned the possible future use of Smartwater and SELECTADNA
